To Heaven on The Wings of A Prayer

==================

Greetings to All,

To Heaven on The Wings of A Prayer

Jesus the Savior of men and the Son of God, felt the need of prayer. When Jesus dwelt among men, he was found often in prayer. Jesus taught his disciples how to pray when they asked. He directed them to cast their cares and needs before the Lord.

The angels love and bow before our God continuously. Their highest joy is communion with Him. They stand and wait for His every command. God's heart is filled with infinite love. Yet here we are in this world spending little time in prayer, which is communicating with God. Here we are standing before Him with so little faith. We, who need all the help we can get from Him spend so little time talking with Him.

There is a benefit in not praying. It is beneficial to Satan when you neglect to pray. It is beneficial to Satan we not receive anything from God.

What is prayer? A prayer is a key, we hold in our hand of faith. This key unlocks the storehouses of heaven -- storehouses filled with treasures and boundless resources of God. One provision is made in order to receive God's blessings. The heart must be open to the influence of the Holy Spirit in order to receive.

If iniquity is in our hearts and if we cling to our known sin the Lord will not hear us. The prayer of a contrite soul is always heard.

Faith is very important part of prayer. If you have the key (prayer), but not the hand (faith) to turn the key -- what door can be opened? Scripture says: And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. (Hebrews 11:6) Jesus tells us: "Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours." (Mark 11:24) Jesus continues to tell us: "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened." (Matthew 7:7,8)

If we do not receive, we are to continue to believe God hears us. We are to cling to His promise, we will receive and the answer will surely come. God gives to us what is good for us. God will not withhold any good thing from those who walk in righteousness. We trust in faith making known our wants. His hand is upon us with loving-kindness and tenderness.

When we pray, we need the spirit of love and forgiveness in our hearts. Jesus tells us the Lord's prayer is a perfect prayer. In the contents of the Lord's prayer Jesus says, "Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors," (Matthew 6:12) If we expect to be heard we must forgive others in the same manner the Lord forgives us. Jesus say, "And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins." (Mark 11:25)

We should pray always. Unceasing prayer is the union of the soul with God. We are open to receive God's Life into our life -- and from our life, His Life flows back to Him. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. (Romans 12:12) Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. (Colossians 4:2) The end of all things is near. Therefore be clear minded and self-controlled so that you can pray. (1 Peter 4:7) Most importantly, build yourselves up in your most holy faith and pray in the Holy Spirit. (Jude 20)

If our prayer life is neglected, we will not flourish. Prayers are like sweet incense that rises to the throne of God. When we are praying, our hearts become filled with His divine light giving us strength.

Even though there is corruption all around us -- when we are in constant prayer with God, we breathe the air of heaven. Prayer lifts our soul into the presence of God. We are in communion with heaven and not of this world. We become free from impure thoughts and imaginations.

As naturally as a flower turns to the sun is how we should naturally turn to the Lord. Take everything that perplexes the mind to Him. Keep your wants, your sorrows, your joys and fears before God. When you ask in Jesus' name, believe you will receive. God rules all the affairs of the universe and nothing is too great or beyond Him. We are to pray in Jesus' name, which brings us into the Spirit of Jesus and therefore, we rely upon His grace. Jesus says, "The father will give you whatever you ask in my name." (John 15:17)

Our prayers should not only consist of asking and receiving, but also praising God. Praising Him for His wonderful works, for His goodness. Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for men, for he satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things. (Psalm 107:8,9) Express gratitude for all His blessings bestowed upon you. The angels are in constant song of praise before the Lord. The soul ascends to heaven on the wings of a prayer.

God Bless,

Eve
